Notes on Normans

Many of my French-Canadian ancestors were from Normandy.

In addition, of my three known Irish surnames, Powers is Norman

And two of my Scottish surnames, Douglass & Hay are Norman.

Later J.S. Govin imported Guernsey cattle, Guernsey being one of two bailiwicks that are the remains of Normandy.  Queen Elizabeth II is Duke of Normany (Guernsey & Jersey)
